Drinks Cart

Due to the layout change of the course, it has come to the attention of the club that Members will not have a chance to get food or drinks during their round.

As a solution, the drinks cart will be placed near the 11th green on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday so as to give the opportunity to members.

Members who take any items from the drinks cart are asked to make sure they note their purchase and membership number on the clipboard with the cart.

Driving Range Hours

Members are advised the opening hours of the Driving Range will be changing so as to increase maintenance on the range.

The Golf Shop staff will be picking up all the golf balls on the Driving Range on Monday and Thursday afternoons so it can be mowed, as a result, on these days, Members must be finished hitting balls by 4pm.

Members are also reminded that during winter, all shots are to be hit from the synthetic mats

Eric Apperly Update

The Doon is off to a great start in their title defence of the Eric Apperly Shield, bringing in two victories in the first two rounds. The new look side, after losing three of our winning team members from last year defeated Manly Golf Club in the first round, followed by a 6-0 victory over Cronulla Golf Club in the second.

Captain AJ Cinelli thinks that this week's match against Pymble will go a long way to deciding the group with both teams being undefeated.

The Club would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Fletcher Murray. Fletcher made his Bonnie Doon Representative debut this year, bringing in two wins in this first two matches. Fletcher joins us from the North Coast and is loving his first representative season as well as his first year of membership at the Doon.

Heffron Road Crossing Conditions

Heffron Road is now officially operating as a four lane road. With this in mind, members are reminded that the safest way to cross the road is at the traffic lights.

For the sake of around 160 metres, it is not worth taking the risk, please use the traffic lights.

Super Senior Pennant

The 2018 season for the Super Senior Pennant will begin in less than a month.

Bonnie Doon is currently looking for expressions of interest from members looking to play in the Super Senior Pennant this season.

The season runs from 13 August to 24 September with matches played on Mondays.

Ping Fitting Day

The Club will be hosting a fitting day for members on 15 August.

This fitting day will feature the full Ping G400 Range, including the Ping GLe ladies clubs.

President's Cup

The Final of the hotly contested President's Cup took place at 8am on Tuesday.

Itono Inouke put up a valiant effort, but in the end Glenda Stubbs proved too good, winning 2up.

The close match went all the way to the 18th hole.

The Club would like to take the opportunity to congratulate Glenda on her win, as well as all the Ladies who entered the event on their participation.

Mixed 2BBB

The third Mixed 2BBB of the season was played in glorious weather last Sunday producing some fabulous scores. Kathy Howe and Peter Wensemius took out the day with 45 points, Kaye and Warwick Wheeler scored 44 points to take second place and Yati and Stephen Boutcher rounded out the top three with 43 points.

Laski was playing one Friday morning and saw yet another beautiful rainbow at the club. If the old addage rings true, there would have been a pot of gold waiting for him at the 15th tee.

Keen eyed members might notice a faint secondary rainbow. This is caused by the raindrops reflecting twice rather than just once for a standard rainbow.

Neil Burley was a happy man on Monday, hitting an ace on the spare hole 20.

A perfectly struck six iron dropped in the cup.

Neil celebrated happily up at the bar with his playing partners after the round.
