Bonnie Doon has two teaching professionals, Dennise Hutton and Tom Robinson, both of whom are experienced teachers with a passion for both playing and teaching the game of golf. Their knowledge and skills are always available to be passed on to both members and visitors alike.
Dennise’s experience as a golf professional speaks for itself; she won the Australian LPGA Championship in 1986 and 1987, as well as the European Match Play and French Biarritz Open in 1989, being ranked fifth on the European Order of Merit and the Number One Australian worldwide. Dennise also showed her skill in playing Representative Golf for Australia twelve times. All of this on course experience adds up to create an excellent Golf Professional.
As a coach, Dennise’s accomplishments match her playing skill, she was the first ever woman to be named in the Top 50 Coaches in Australia by Golf Magazine, and coached the Women’s World Cup team in 2010. Dennise also coached the NSW State Women’s Team from 2008 until 2013, and was the coach for the NSW State Junior Girls team from 2012 through to 2014. She also Coached the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic Team, the same year she was named the PGA Teaching Professional of the Year NSW/ACT, becoming the first woman to do so. Dennise was named in the Top 50 Australian Golf Coaches by Golf Digest in 2017.
Dennise is a AAA PGA Professional, and is Accredited by the Australian Coaching Council and holds an LPGA V.E.T.A.B Certificate. She has been the President of the Australian LPGA for five years, and is a qualified club fitter.
No matter what, Dennise is capable of assisting you to improve any aspect of your game. Her mantra that golf is played on the course and not at the driving means that she has developed a number of packages to assist in improving your game.
Tom has a number of skills and qualifications to assist you with your game.
His golf career began early as a young Amateur in The north of England, During this time he attended the England School of Excellence from 2002 until 2004 and played in many elite tournaments. A Yorkshire man, He played regularly for the county whilst attaining a handicap of +1.6. In 2006 Tom decided to turn Professional.
As a member of the British Professional Golfers Association, Tom played three years on the Europro tour from 2006 until 2008 before taking a full time position within the Golf Industry. Tom has taught a number of students of all ages and ability’s has 6 years experience in doing so. During this time Tom has worked as a Assistant Club Professional, Teaching Professional and Golf Administrator in England, Germany and here in Australia.
Tom puts his understanding of the game down to excellent mentorship form renowned coaches like Peter Cowan, Graeme Walker, and Steve Robinson.
