Junior Golf

At Bonnie Doon Golf Club, we take great pride in our commitment to junior golf. We place significant importance on nurturing young talent, as demonstrated by our specially designed junior membership options and well-rounded development programs. These initiatives are designed to provide a clear pathway for juniors to achieve their golfing aspirations.

Junior Membership & Scholarship

The primary objective of our Junior Membership is to guide them as they embark on their exciting journey in golf. Our focus is on fostering keen and enthusiastic individuals who will become valued members of the Club. Junior Members are regarded as an integral part of the Club’s future, and we are deeply committed to welcoming and supporting them.

The Club actively participates in various interclub tournaments, including the prestigious Eric Apperly Shield, providing children with opportunities to develop both as golfers and as engaged Club Members. While membership is typically reserved for individuals aged 10 and above, exceptions may be considered for younger children who demonstrate exceptional golfing talent, passion, and enthusiasm.

We offer two types of scholarships:

Bonnie Doon Golf Club Scholarship Program	Open to male and female junior golfers who demonstrate exceptional talent, dedication, and enthusiasm for the sport. Candidates are assessed on their golfing ability, commitment to improvement, and alignment with the values of the Club.
Bonnie Doon Golf Club Junior Girls Scholarship (12-month program)	Open to junior girls who show outstanding promise, passion, and commitment to golf. The program seeks individuals who aspire to grow as golfers while embracing sportsmanship and community values. Pathway to Junior Membership

Clinics, Coaching, & Equipment

Clinics are offered based on demand and the time of year. Children do not need to be members of Bonnie Doon to participate in our Junior Golf Clinics or lessons. We welcome all children, regardless of membership status at Bonnie Doon or any other golf club.
